WASHINGTON—The Trump campaign again called for an additional presidential debate in early September, arguing the three debates currently scheduled are insufficient because they will take place after people in some states have started voting.
If a fourth debate can’t be agreed to, the campaign requested in a Wednesday letter to the Commission on Presidential Debates that the one scheduled for Oct. 22 be moved to the first week in September so the debate season can start sooner. Election Day is Nov. 3, but absentee ballots go...
