US President Trump slams ‘totally false report’ he disparaged fallen US troops in WWI battle
US President Donald Trump disembarks Air Force One to deliver a campaign speech at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, US, September 3, 2020. According to an article inmagazine, Trump has referred to US Marines buried in a WWI cemetery in France as "losers" and "suckers" for getting killed in action.
Trump slammed the report late Thursday, after his aides earlier called the allegations "disgusting, grotesque, reprehensible lies." Trump said in the run-up to the 2016 election: "He's not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."
