With news of his former vice president, Mike Pence, planning to enter the GOP presidential race, Trump wished him luck and said he hopes Pence ends up throwing his hat in the ring.
Iowa would not be one if it weren't for me," Trump said. "I kept Iowa number one and there were a lot of people that said, 'You know, we will do what the Democrats did' and I said, 'No, we are not doing that,' and I kept Iowa, single handedly, I kept Iowa number one."
The caucus bill, which was signed into law Thursday, requires in-person caucusing in Iowa. Trump said the state is looking to keep caucus integrity because of this new bill."One thing you mentioned was bringing down inflation, what are your plans to do that?" asked KGAN reporter Skylar Tallal."Well, one thing we're gonna do is drill," Trump said. "We're gonna drill, baby, drill.
But we have to protect religion," Trump said. "We have to have religious liberty, it's two words that are not being used very much anymore, and we have to bring it back, and we will, but we had a really good luncheon with faith leaders of Iowa."
