A 6-year-old Turkish girl was rescued after having been trapped under rubble for 178 hours.
The girl, Miray, was recovered from the city of Adiyaman in southern Turkey, the BBC reported, over a week after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks devastated the region.Video showed workers celebrating as they pulled the girl from the rubble. The rescue is likely to be among the last as the deadline for how long humans can survive without water approaches.

Despite the rescues, the death toll from the deadliest earthquake in over a decade is over 36,000, CNN reported, with the true total likely much higher.
