Tropical cocktails, jerk chicken and reggae beats can mean only one thing - Turtle Bay is in town. Well, almost.
The final touches are being made to the new Caribbean restaurant and bar chain set to open in Blackpool in the coming weeks. And to give soul food fans a taster of what they can expect, a special 'Surfside to Seaside' pop-up event will be serving free food and cocktail on Tower Festival Headland. On Friday, June 23 from midday to 6pm, Barbadian-inspired beach huts will be erected in the shadow of Blackpool Tower. The latest Turtle Bay restaurant will be located on the ground floor of the newly-restored Forshaws Hotel on Talbot Square.Visitors can indulge in jerk chicken cooked on a BBQ, refreshing drinks, plenty of deck chairs complete with a stunning sea view.
Turtle Bay's executive chef Collin Brown and his team will be preparing sizzling samples of their famous jerk chicken wings, as well as serving tasters of signature cocktails from rum brand Cockspur. Also on offer will be specially-made Turtle Bay Tropical Rock, in a nod to the popular chain's new home.
The Blackpool venue will be the third in Lancashire, following Preston and Blackburn. The opening date will be confirmed soon.
