The charity launched their latest £1.16m branch in the Southside of the city this afternoon.
The homing centre will work in tandem with the charity’s Glasgow Adoption Centre in Auchinloch to help even more cats in the city and surrounding areas.Scottish cat-lover, and BBC Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip presenter Roo Irvine was joined by volunteers as she cut the purple ribbon at the grand opening.Andy McPhee, a rehoming and welfare assistant, has worked with Cats Protection for 17 years and spoke to the Glasgow Times about his excitement for the new centre.
“We are now focusing on the rebuild of the original Glasgow adoption centre and also working to get a network of multiple sites around Scotland. “We are at the start of a very exciting journey with our branches and adoption centres working closely together."
