Stanek’s second wild pitch permitted Trevor Larnach and Miranda an extra 90 feet.Houston’s lineup struck out 16 times and managed just five hits.
Shadows covered home plate throughout the first five innings, making it miserable for both lineups to diagnose breaking pitches. Gray seized all advantage, abusing the Astros with a steady diet of sliders and curveballs they continued to swing through.
