People who took more steps or spent more time in moderate to vigorous physical activity had a lower risk of death and cardiovascular disease, according to a new study.
Research suggests that step and time-based exercise are both very beneficial for our health and longevity, preventing the risk of heart disease and stroke.

However, counting steps is a straightforward measure and less open to interpretation compared to exercise intensity. Additionally, steps capture everyday life movements, which are likely activities performed by the elderly.
