Two people are dead after flood waters swept through parts of Larimer County Friday evening.
LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. —
"Avoid area subject to flooding including dips, low spots, ditches, etc. and do not attempt to cross flowing streams or creeks," an emergency message from the sheriff's office said."If driving, be aware that the road may not be intact under flood waters. Never drive through flooded roadways - turn around and go another way. If your vehicle stalls, leave it immediately and seek higher ground.
#LCFlooding2022 We're responding to multiple locations in the Buckhorn area on reports of flooding. We'll provide updates here as soon as we can. A flood advisory has been issued for the eastern Cameron Peak burn scar until 11:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Water will move down Buckhorn Creek, past Masonville to the confluence with the Big Thompson River throughout the evening. The NWS expects minor flooding, along with possible damage to roads near the creek. Larimer County was under a flash flood warning until 8 p.m.
