A VW Golf collided with a BMW car and then with a second BMW
Two people have been rushed to hospital and a woman is in a 'critical condition' following a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to Bolton Road, Roddlesworth, Withnell, shortly after 5pm last night . Lancashire Police said they were alerted to a collision and found that a VW Golf had collided with a BMW car, and then with a second BMW. The driver of the VW Golf, a woman in her 40s, suffered multiple injuries and is in a critical condition in hospital. A man in his 30s, who was driving the second BMW, suffered a serious back injury and is being treated in hospital.The driver of the first BMW was unhurt. Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Sgt Michael Higginson of our Road Policing Unit, said: "This was a serious collision and my thoughts are very much with the two people who are being treated for their injuries in hospital. As part of our investigation into the collision, we are appealing for witnesses and for anyone who has dashcam footage from Bolton Road around the time.Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or has information, is being asked to email [email protected].
