Two Premier League clubs have entered the race for England and Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi, according to reports.
While Guehi’s future is likely to be resolved after the European Championships, Caught Offside has claimed the defender is open to leaving the Eagles this summer. However, when he returns from international duty Palace are allegedly set to explore the possibility of offering the England star a contract extension.
In addition to offering him a pay increase, Palace may also try to tempt Guehi into extending by including a buy-out clause in any new deal, that would allow him to leave Selhurst Park for a set price. It’s a tactic the club has used successfully in negotiations with Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise in the past 12 months.“He picked the lines amazingly. He led against two, for me, really good centre-forwards at this level in Vlahović and Mitrović, two really, really tricky customers.
