. These special-edition models, unlike the name of the anniversary they're commemorating, are actually fairly humble workhorses, albeit dressed up for a flash of pizazz.Ford bases the Heritage Edition on the everyman's F-150, the second-from-the-bottom XLT trim level.
Ford references the F-150's 1970s- and 1980s-era multi-tone paint jobs as inspiration for the Heritage Edition, albeit with a twist. While those classic pickups usually were two-tone, with a given body color broken up by a contrasting-color white or similar section separating the upper half of the body from the lower, the new ones situate the colorful part of the paint job in that central beltline area.
