More than 30 objections have been lodged against the 20m mast on protected green space in Twyford.
A phone mast that could be built on protected green space would be a "blot on the landscape" residents have said.
The telecommunications company wants to install the 5G pole next to King George V Recreation Ground to provide network coverage for operators EE and 3.One resident, who lives directly opposite the proposed site, said they would not "in a million years" have bought their property earlier this year if "this […] monstrosity" had been in place.
Twyford Parish Council, while acknowledging the advantages of better network coverage, also said it was not in favour of the application.
