A series of votes in the U.K. Parliament failed for a second time to break the Brexit impasse
LONDON—A series of votes in the House of Commons failed for a second time to find a majority for any alternative to the deal British Prime Minister Theresa May negotiated with the European Union, deepening the uncertainty less than two weeks before Britain is scheduled to leave the bloc.
Last week Mrs. May’s deal, though rejected for a third time, got 286 votes, more than any of the options proposed on Monday. That was in part because more than 60 lawmakers, including the cabinet, abstained on each of the votes Monday.
