The U.S. charged five Chinese citizens with computer-hacking crimes in alleged attacks on over 100 companies in the U.S. and overseas
WASHINGTON—Five Chinese citizens with alleged ties to Beijing’s chief intelligence service have been charged with computer hacking crimes and are accused of attacking more than 100 companies in the U.S. and overseas, the U.S. Justice Department said Wednesday.
Two Malaysian businessmen were also arrested Monday in Malaysia for allegedly conspiring with some of the Chinese hackers to profit from intrusions into the videogame industry, officials said.
