U.S. Rep. Scott Peters on the 2022 election, the Tijuana River, climate change and more [Opinion]
is running for another term in the House of Representatives, in California’s 50th Congressional District, a newly redrawn district that represents parts of San Diego County.
Peters, who represents the 52nd Congressional District now, is seeking a sixth two-year term and is being challenged in the newly redrawn district on the Nov. 8 ballot by Republican business ownerPeters met with The San Diego Union-Tribune Editorial Board on Sept. 7 to discuss the 2022 general election and local and national issues such as his reaction to the overturning of Roe V. Wade, his plans to fix the sewage spills from the Tijuana River, transportation and more.
