An Uber Eats driver who was caught delivering thousands of pounds worth of crack cocaine in Scotland has been sent to prison for 28 months
. Ali Danesh and his acquaintance Gerald Duffus were found to have the Class A drug in his car when the vehicle was pulled over by police officers in Perthshire in April 2021.

Top news stories today Police Constable Campbell Hutt, 44, told the trial that officers received intelligence about a black Toyota iQ being driven through Perthshire. "We were sitting at the Broxden Roundabout at our usual look-out point when we saw it passing, heading towards Dundee," he said. "We followed it for a short distance and then activated our lights, half-way between Perth and Dundee.
The men were taken into custody and the car was searched. Investigators uncovered the lock knife in the front of the vehicle and more than 70g of crack cocaine, with a street value - along with the cannabis - of around £7,430.
