Uncertainty swirls over the fate of Viktor Sokolov - the Russian naval commander Ukraine claims to have killed - after Moscow released a video appearing to show him giving an interview. The Kremlin has pinned the blame for explosions at the Nord Stream pipeline last year on the US and UK.

An air raid alert has been issued in the Crimean city of Sevastopol, the Russian-installed governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev has said.

The new deputy ministers are Yuriy Dzhyhyr, deputy finance minister in 2018-2020; Natalia Kalmykova, who most recently served as executive director of the Ukrainian Veteran Fund; and Kateryna Chernohorenko, head of Ukraine's"Army of Drones" project. "[Sivkov] then received a phone call where the unknown caller demanded that he renounce his support for [Russia's invasion of Ukraine] and threatened to murder him," the news agency said., sport correspondent

Sweden, which is hosting the women's U17s tournament next May, said it would not allow any qualified Russian team to compete. The long-standing government position is there should be no Russian representation in international sporting competitions while the war on Ukraine continues. Speaking earlier today, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed Sokolov had taken part in a video call with Russia's defence minister Sergei Shoigu yesterday but refrained from further comment.: Ukraine claims Sokolov was among 34 officers killed in a strike on the port city of Sevastopol on Friday.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, who is understood to have brought the motion forward, said after the meeting that UEFA would be"directly discriminating" against Russian children if these teams were not readmitted. And now Polish FA president Cezary Kulesza has written on X, formerly Twitter:"If Russian national teams are allowed to participate in the competition, our national teams will not compete with them. This is the only right decision.
