With a quarter of his team injured, Tyronn Lue has few options as Sacramento jumps out early for a 123-96 rout Saturday afternoon at Crypto.com Arena
LOS ANGELES — Clippers point guard Reggie Jackson tumbled to the floor early in Saturday’s afternoon game. He got up slowly and returned to the action, but his discomfort was obvious as he limped to the sideline.
With a quarter of their team nursing injuries, the Clippers had little in reserve and lost their second in a row, falling 123-96 at Crypto.com Arena. Even with Jackson on the floor, the Clippers were ineffective in stopping Domantas Sabonis, who had 24 points on 10-of-11 shooting and six assists despite foul trouble. The Kings also got productive minutes from Keegan Murray , De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk .
The increasing number of injured Clippers left Lue little choice than to go to deep on the bench for available bodies. Rookie center Moussa Diabate and second-year player Brandon Boston Jr. both saw action in the first quarter and into the second half.
