The group has now left the site
It is not clear exactly when the travellers arrived on the site. Nottingham City Council, which manages the facility, said the caravans had exited the park and ride before 5pm on March 14, meaning no further action would have to be taken by the authority.
It is not the first time travellers have set up at the Queens Drive site. Around six caravans also pitched up there in February 2020, with the travellers believed to have arrived overnight on that occasion.The Queens Drive park and ride is situated just off the Dunkirk Island and A52 Clifton Bridge, connecting hundreds of commuters to the city centre and Queen's Medical Centre.
