New rules for the review process will come into force in England and Wales in August
Changes to the PIP review process are unlikely to be introduced in Northern Ireland until 2026 the Department for Communities has said.
It will mean that a new shorter PIP renewal form will be used and a face-to-face health assessment won't be required unless a person's medical condition has changed. The DWP told Birmingham Live: "Drawing on insight from stakeholders, we have developed a simplified form focussing on how a claimant's ability to do certain everyday tasks and move around may have changed. These reviews will be introduced in August this year.
