Katie Carden, 16, is missing from home
Officers have issued an urgent appeal to find a teenage girl who is missing from home. Police in Wigan say Katie Carden is known to spend time in Atherton and the surrounding areas.
Greater Manchester Police has released an appeal to find the 16-year-old on social media this afternoon . The force says its officers are 'increasingly concerned' for her wellbeing. GMP has released a photo of Katie alongside the appeal. Anyone who sees Katie or has information about her disappearance is urged to come forward as soon as possible.A spokesperson for GMP Wigan West wrote on Facebook: "Katie Carden is a 16 year old female. She is known to frequent Atherton and surrounding areas.
"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Katie and want to make sure she is safe and well. Anyone with information about Katie’s whereabouts should contact police on 101 quoting MSP/06LL/0002282/23."
