Halifax and Lloyds customers are urged to be vigilant against online scammers. Both banking giants have written to customers amid a rise in people being targeted on Facebook Marketplace, Liverpool Echo reports.
Sharing their top tips, being are advised to ask themselves four questions before buying online. These include:Do you have to pay right away? A genuine seller won't pressure you into a quick sale. Genuine sellers should let you pay by card or some way that protects your money. Ask to see an item in person, especially if it’s local, large or expensive.
