When it joins the Big Ten in 2024, the USC football team will not face Ohio State in its first season in the expanded conference.In 2024, USC’s 2024 conference home opponents will be Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin. Its conference road games will be Maryland, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue and UCLA.
In 2025, USC will face Indiana, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State and UCLA at home, and will travel to Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers and Wisconsin. The new look Big Ten will have 16 teams and no divisions. USC’s rivalry game against UCLA will continue to be scheduled every year. The Big Ten schedule will feature a combination of protected opponents and rotating opponents each season. Each school will play nine conference games per season, and teams will play every other conference opponent at least twice – once home and once away – in a four-year period.
The Big Ten conference championship game will feature the top two teams in the regular-season standings. Tiebreakers will be announced at a later date.
