Utah's winter season has left the state covered in an accumulation of snow that it hasn't experienced for years. The word "unexpected" could be used to define the past 18 months of Utah's weather.
"Early to mid-90s is maybe when those on staff can remember when we had two that were really, really big like this last season," Wilkey said. Last winter we had an active La Nina, and a couple of storms with atmospheric rivers attached, this year, it’s just the opposite."Going into the fall and winter seasons, most of the state is considered to be out of drought," Storrs explained. "Our reservoirs are currently sitting at 20 percent higher than normal for this time of year.
