UTSA endures season’s 20th loss with home setback against UAB

“I haven’t seen any quit in our guys. That’s to be expected if you have some pride, and our guys do,” Henson said. “The fact that they’re continuing to practice the right way speaks more to their character than the games.” “We had some issues throughout the year, but I think everybody handled it the right way and we keep sticking together,” Czumbel said. “We have a bunch of good guys in our locker room, so that’s not an issue.”
A Conference USA All-Freshman Team selection last year, Ivy-Curry was often leaned on as the Roadrunners’ lead guard and primary ballhandler. He missed six games this year because of a pair of stints in UTSA’s health and safety protocols, then was limited the past two weeks by an ankle injury, sitting out one game while being held scoreless in two others.
“I told him I was disappointed, as I am with anybody that leaves the program,” Henson said. “Our goal for everybody is to have a chance to chase after their dreams and goals. … We told him we care about him and we love him.”
