Latest updates as Premier League clubs look to agree deals before the 30 June deadline for staying within the league's profit and sustainability rules.
Brazil midfielder Douglas Luiz told Juventus fans that he was 'really happy to be a Bianconero' in a video post on social media after his £42.35m move from Aston Villa to the Serie A club was confirmed. 'I can't wait to play in the Allianz Stadium,' he added. 'See you soon and Forza Juve!' The 26-year-old has signed a five-year deal with Juventus to end his stay at Villa Park.
Luiz, who has been capped 15 times by his country, scored 22 goals in 204 appearances for Villa, who signed him from Manchester City in 2019. The midfielder is currently in the United States with Brazil's national side at the Copa America, where he completed his Juventus medical. Villa's pressing need to comply with profit and sustainability rules meant they had to cash in on one of their key players.
