The restaurant answered public queries on its Facebook page confirming the closure, as did a diner who reached out toThe Colonial Marketplace weekday restaurant was named after the family matriarch, Vincenza Turchi, a native of Abruzzi, Italy, and was a family affair with daughter Tina; sons Anthony and Nick; cousins and grandchildren, according to the eatery’s website.
Its website briefly describes its origin history, saying the restaurant was started in 1957 in Brooklyn, New York, by immigrants from Abruzzo, Italy. In 1979, family members started the restaurant in Ohio. It offered an array of pizza styles, from Napolitano , Chicago and Sicilian .
