'Some people feel they can do what they like'

Drivers flouting the rules at a popular beauty spot returned to find their cars had disappeared over the Easter bank holiday. Dozens of cars parked illegally at Eyri National Park, also known as Snowdonia , were towed away.

On the Manchester Evening News' Facebook page, several readers welcomed the action taken by North Wales Police in Eyri. Nancy Clark commented: "There is an attitude that some people feel they can do what they like, disregarding the impact their actions have on others. "You have to work with the rules as they are and if you park illegally you have to suffer the consequences. Just think of the stress those parking illegally will have caused other people travelling in the area."

But there was some sympathy for the drivers who saw their car towed away. Fiona Cogan suggested there 'ought to be more car parking provided'.
