The second option for the students was to agree to a suspension and a number of other stipulations, including not having contact with the alleged victims.The offers were laid out in a Dec. 15 letter obtained by NJ Advance Media sent to Cornell by an attorney representing one of the students, in which the attorney reiterated the options presented to their client. The attorney called the offer “unacceptable,” according to the letter.
The group of students who were charged by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office earlier this week are facing juvenile complaints of hazing, attempted criminal sexual contact, criminal sexual contact, false imprisonment and harassment. It is unclear how many were charged. At least four other players stand nearby in the background watching, giggling and one shouts ”Get his legs!”
