Want to get a bet down on the presidential debate? You can now do it legally
The first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden will be held on Tuesday night, and for the first time ever, people can bet on it in the U.S.
Each bet above is also part of a tournament prize pool, and cannot be wagered upon individually. Here is how both sportsbooks are running their contests: Players must answer a group of 10 yes/no and multiple-choice questions, and the contestants with the most correct answers at the end of the debate will split a prize.
“We remain as committed as ever to our brand promise of giving our players more ways to win,” FanDuel CMO Mike Raffensperger said in a press release. “We demonstrated this when we hosted our first-ever political contest for the Democratic Debate back in March, which our customers loved.”Earlier in 2020, the state of West Virginia, which has legalized sports betting, became the first state to offer legal election betting in the U.S.
