Update: Houston police are seeking three men who were involved in a shooting that left one man dead in southwest Houston on Thursday.
One of the wanted suspects, William Cooper, 22, is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is not in custody at this time.Witnesses told police that the victim, 27, got involved in a verbal argument with Cooper and the two unknown men inside the convenience store located in the 12300 block of Hillcroft at 3:30 p.m.
At some point, Cooper pulled out a gun and allegedly shot the victim and chased him out of the store. Police said Cooper kept firing at the victim as he got inside his car. One of the bullets hit his windshield.The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died. After the confrontation, surveillance video obtained by officers showed one of the two men picking up evidence from the store before fleeing the scene.Anyone with information in this case is asked to call HPD Homicide at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.Moriah Ballard joined the KPRC 2 digital team in the fall of 2021.
