Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler was criticized for claiming that the notion of Democrats supporting late-term abortions was a 'Republican talking point.'
‘Fox News Sunday’ anchor Shannon Bream responds to former White House press secretary Jen Psaki claiming nobody supports abortions up until birth, noting some Democrats like Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., do support abortions up to 40 weeks.Thursday after he said the claim that Democrat lawmakers supporting late-term abortions was a"Republican talking point."
Kessler criticized DeSantis’ line as a"common Republican talking point," and argued that it was the wrong characterization of Democrat policies. However, Kessler did not deny that Democrats have advocated policies that allow for the procedure. "This is a common Republican talking point — that Democrats support nationwide abortion-on-demand up until the moment of birth. The implication is that late-term abortions are common — and that they are routinely accepted by Democrats," he wrote.
