Officers responded to a home in the 300-block of Danbury Lane around 4 p.m. Sept. 13 for a report of a man with a gun attempting to break into the home and shoot the homeowner. The scene was secured, and it was determined to be a swatting call believed to have been made by a man who was upset that the homeowner’s teenage daughter had rejected him.
RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio – Officers responded to a home in the 300-block of Danbury Lane around 4 p.m. Sept. 13 for a report of a man with a gun attempting to break into the home and shoot the homeowner.
The scene was secured, and it was determined to be a swatting call believed to have been made by a man who was upset that the homeowner’s teenage daughter had rejected him. Officers were unable to contact that man but after listening to a recording of the 911 call and voicemails he had left the daughter, they concluded he was responsible.
