The woman gave the man some water, then allowed him to get in her vehicle, the sheriff’s office says. It was then he pulled out a knife and threatened her.
The suspect drove the vehicle with the woman inside for several miles, but slowed down while on a dirt road, ABC News reports. The woman then jumped from the car and ran for help.KOIN Channel 6 reports

Jeremy Alexksa, 31, has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery, attempt to elude and reckless driving, reports say. “I’m just thankful that she got out of the vehicle and got here to someone who was willing to call the authorities and help her regardless of her attempting to break into the house,” Woods tells KGW.
