It was all treats and no tricks at a zoo's penguin exhibit as things 'got poppin'' when these Gentoo penguins participated in a Halloween-themed enrichment activity involving pumpkins and bubbles.
Penguins at the Milwaukee County Zoo, which has been offering 'spooktacular' Halloween activities, enjoyed some spooky season enrichment. These are the zoo's Gentoo penguins. According to the Milwaukee County Zoo, they breed in colonies of a few hundred pairs.
Gentoo penguins make their nests from rocks and other materials they can find in the Antarctic landscape. They'll dive up to 500 times a day in search for food. Keepers describe them as very curious, active birds who are always up to something.Posting a video of the penguin Halloween party on social media, the zoo said, 'The penguins are poppin' at this year's pumpkin party!'
