Former President Donald Trump is speaking to autoworkers at 8 p.m. in Clinton Township, Michigan, at Drake Enterprises.
The event comes soon after Trump was denied an audience with United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain, who expressed criticism of him."I see no point in meeting with him because I don’t think the man has any bit of care about what our workers stand for, what the working class stands for," Fain said Tuesday."He’s the billionaire class, and that’s what’s wrong with our country."
The episode comes amid a high-profile strike by the UAW union, which has also directed some criticism at the policies of President Joe Biden.
