According to SJPD, the suspect then drove back to San Jose, where CHP responded and engaged in a one-hour pursuit.The suspect also reportedly fired a gun at officers during a pursuit overnight which ended at the site of the barricade situation.Some residents in the area were evacuated due to shots being fired by the suspect during the barricade situation, police say. SJPD says no officers were injured during the standoff.
Authorities say the suspect was shot by officers after pointing a firearm at Special Operations personnel and was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
