Biden published his proposed budget for the next fiscal year last week, which cuts the deficit by $3 trillion in the next 10 years but would also increase spending across nearly all parts of the government.
Biden's plan would also raise taxes on corporations and high-income citizens.The $6.9 trillion in proposed spending will likely be under intense scrutiny from senators on the committee. Congress has until the end of September, when fiscal 2023 ends, to pass a budget for fiscal 2024.
