The Division One champions have lost all three Championship games this season and must defeat Westmeath in Newry next weekend to remain in the All-Ireland series
Joe Brolly has labelled Derry “a laughing stock” following last weekend’s stunning 11-point loss to Armagh in Celtic Park and doubled down on criticism of manager Mickey Harte.
Brolly has been a vocal critic of Derry's decision to appoint Harte to the roll and had already taken to social media earlier this week to bemoan their latest defeat. “Niall tweeted, “Mickey Harte remains Derry manager and will in charge for the Westmeath game. Rumour mill out of control but nothing in it.” To which Owen Mulligan responded, “Thank God for that” - We are are laughing stock now.”
“It is hard to know which is worse: a manager who has no idea what the problem is. Or a manager who blames the players. Nothing is ever his fault,” added Brolly.
