One packet couldn't be beaten
As costs continue to rise on everyday items, shoppers are looking for ways to save on their supermarket shop. The Liverpool ECHO has been taste-testing supermarket alternatives of well-known brands to see if cheaper is tastier. This week, members of the Liverpool ECHO news team conducted a taste test on cheap chocolate fingers to see if any were better than Cadbury.
Kate McMullin said: "This remains for me the elite of the chocolate fingers world. An absolute classic. Soft but with the right amount of crunch. Very smooth and the Dairy Milk chocolate in my opinion is unbeatable." Ryan Paton said: "It's hard to know how you can get a simple biscuit like the chocolate finger so wrong. However, Asda's offering failed to deliver on the chocolate and the biscuit. The inner biscuit was very bitty and had an unsatisfying texture. The chocolate was of much lower quality than Cadbury's offering."
