Jeremy Hunt has issued a dire warning ahead of his financial statement which is due to take place later this week. The Chancellor of the Exchequer said everyone across the country will need to pay more in taxes to balance the books due to the current black hole in the UK economy’s finances.
In order to get the UK back on sound economic footing, the Tory MP said “sacrifices” will need to be made by everyone. Billions will have to be found in the statement, from cuts in funding to public services to raising taxes on the lowest earners in society. Hunt hinted that those with the broadest shoulders will bear the burden for the mess.
