Where’s the birthday girl? Oh, she’s napping. She’ll be down in a few hours, probably.
Maybe longer if the game goes into overtime. Then we’ll start serving the birthday cake, which I baked myself! It’s mostly made with ingredients that Angie can’t eat yet, but there was thisrecipe I’d been wanting to try for a while, and I’m pretty sure that whoever’s log-in information I use is dead now, so we really had to get on that before it was too late.
Oh, and the music! The music will be great—I’ll put it on now. We made a special playlist just for this occasion. It starts with songs that remind us of Angie, like “Angie,” by the Rolling Stones, and then the connections to her gradually become more and more belabored until we just gave up and started adding a bunch of Måneskin songs. Those guys rock so hard.
What’s that? Where’s Angie? She’s upstairs napping. She’ll be down in a few hours, though. Probably. ♦
