The transition in ownership will take place on Monday.
Beginning Monday, equipment and other assets of Northeastern Area EMS will transition ownership to WellSpan EMS. Nine employees from Northeastern Area EMS will transition and stay on as WellSpan employees.
The employees will continue to work out of the facility at 10 Devco Drive in East Manchester Township, York County. Currently, Northeastern Area EMS provides advanced life support services to residents of East Manchester Township, Conewago Township, Manchester, Mount Wolf, and surrounding municipalities.“This agreement will help to meet our shared goals that area residents will continue to receive the same high quality pre-hospital emergency medical services that they have become accustomed to,” Dennis MacDougal, board president, Northeastern Area EMS, said in a news release.
