The mural showing support for the people of Palestine was created by West Bank artist Taqi Spateen
A new mural in support of the people of Palestine has been unveiled in West BelfastThe mural on Crocus Street has been created by Taqi Spateen, an artist and activist from the West Bank in Palestine, in partnership with the Beechmount Residents Collective with the aim of showing the communities support for the people of Palestine.
"We made contact with artists based in Dublin who put us in touch with Taqi Spateen, an artist and activist from West Bank in Palestine. He was travelling and doing art in Glasgow and London then he landed to Belfast where he was meeting artists against genocide to do a mural in Palestine Street. "The BRC then engaged with the residents to make them aware of something unique happening for us all and to come and say hi to our friend, who was doing this work for the community.
