West Bromwich Albion withstood Swansea City's second-half pressure to earn a 1-0 win which lifted them into the top two of the Championship.
Carlos Corberan stuck with the same XI that has started each of West Brom's league fixtures so far this season. Having rescued his side early on, Vigouroux saw a misplaced clearance intercepted by Molumby, whose low drilled effort was saved by the Swansea shot stopper. Swansea significantly improved after the restart and finally created a clear opening as Matt Grimes threaded through to Vipotnik, whose tame effort was comfortably saved by Alex Palmer.
Vigouroux produced an excellent one-handed save to deny Racic late on, and -although Swansea pushed for a leveller in the final stages - West Brom kept a clean sheet to earn all three points."I think the first half was excellent, we managed the ball very well."We're still building the team, with new faces, and there are a lot of processes in front of us.""I would say the first half, just disappointment in terms of, we were overwhelmed by the opposition.
