West Lothian Council announced proposals last month look to transfer ownership of community centre buildings to the groups that use them
People living in a small West Lothian village say they could soon lose their only meeting space for local groups and clubs .
Apart from the loss of the single social venue in the village, it is the only meeting place if there was an emergency ie a gas leak. There are no schools or church halls in the village. “We have a very active committee who over the year have organised events for the village such as Easter egg hunts, Remembrance services, summer trips, pantomimes, Christmas children’s parties and Hogmanay family parties.
