Western Growth Corridor's traffic plans take a turn! 🚦
The Western Growth Corridor's planned one-way system on Birchwood Avenue and Skellingthorpe Road will now be replaced with a traffic lights system, it has been confirmed.
The Western Growth Corridor development project is a joint venture between the City of Lincoln Council and Lindum Western Growth Corridor Ltd. Cllr Naomi Tweddle, Portfolio Holder for Inclusive Economic Growth at City of Lincoln Council, acknowledged the inconvenience of traffic control measures. She expressed hope that the three-way traffic lights at Birchwood Avenue would address local concerns.
The first 300 homes, which will include a range of market houses, will be accessed via the new southern access. "It's going to make a significant difference and alleviate problems like rat running and hold-ups," he said.
