Captain America is officially headed to AC Milan. A move to Serie A will be a valuable opportunity for Christian Pulisic, on multiple fronts, writes PaulTenorio. 'For me, it’s a great feeling, one that I have really never had in my professional career.'
“For me, it’s a great feeling, one that I have really never had in my professional career. There were definitely conversations in the last weeks, the manager really spelled out exactly how he sees me fitting in with this team. I did feel wanted at this club, and when a club like Milan wants you, I think it was an easy decision for me and I’m really happy that I can start to work here.
“We’ve continued to grow within this national team and the progress that we’ve made and players playing at top clubs is definitely a priority for him and a priority for this team, and can really help push us with all these major events even coming up in the U.S. in the next few years. It is a really great time to be an American soccer player and fan.
“There’s still a lot to learn about the league. But I think it’s gonna present a lot of different challenges. For me, it’s about my creativity, my directness and wanting to go and help the team to score goals and create chances. That’s my main thing and I think that’s where I can help here, whether it’s against a lower block, a team defending well, or in transition, or in a lot of moments where I think I can help make a difference for this team.
