that their partnership wasn’t a paid one and that people participating wouldn’t be waiving their legal rights over the incidents, questions remain. Further, it’s hard not to see this move as totally inadequate — how could a month ofdeal with the trauma of being in that crowd, surviving the crowd surge, or seeing people get injured or even killed in front of them?
Scott failed his fans in a major way. He failed to work with his organizers to plan and provide a safe concert environment where fans would be able to have fun. While we don’t know for sure what he did or didn’t know as far as scope, he — or at least someone on his team — could have immediately stopped the show, called out his own fans who weren’t helping the situation, or even asked fans to help the people around them get to safety.
